The pelvic floor matters at any age. TREATMENT AREAS
To treat urinary incontinence, the EMSELLA device works on strengthening and supporting the pelvic floor muscles. These series of muscles and tissues located in the pelvic area stretch taut, forming a sling or hammock that aids neuromuscular control of the bladder.
TREATMENT COURSE & RESULTS
A course of 6 – 8 initial treatments (2 per week) is recommended. Each treatment is 28 minutes long, you remain fully clothed and there is absolutely no downtime associated. These sessions are quick and discreet.
Clients will be able to feel a difference in the treated area immediately following the first treatment. Optimal results will be seen after completing the series of recommended treatments, with symptoms continuing to gradually improve over the following weeks.
Maintenance is required with 4 – 6 additional sessions in 3 months time.

WHAT TO EXPECT
ON THE DAY
Urinary incontinence is treated by sitting comfortably in a chair – our EMSELLA device!
We recommend loosely fitted clothing to help achieve the best positioning during your treatment.
When the treatment starts you will feel a slight tingling and vibrations in your pelvic floor muscles that will then turn into full contractions. This will be completely comfortable and tolerable. Take this 30 minutes to read a magazine or catch up on some Netflix.
PREPARATION AND AFTERCARE
There is no downtime with BTL EMSELLA as it is a non-invasive treatment for urinary incontinence.
Neither is there any required pre and post treatment preparation. You can get back to daily activity immediately following the procedure.
MAINTENANCE
Just like any other muscle, pelvic floor muscles require regular exercise to maintain their strength. Keeping a healthy lifestyle and working out will therefore be key to maintaining your results in the long term.
You will never regress to where you were at the start of the treatment course however maintenance is required 3 months after the initial treatment series. We book you in for a follow-up appointment to ensure you maintain results and continue to enjoy the freedom and benefits.
The Technology
