The Treatment
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Non-surgical fat removal works by heating the subcutaneous fat layer to 43 degrees, causing natural cell elimination (Apoptosis).
Due to an inability to withstand high temperatures, fat cells shrink and gradually die off, which leads to a reduction in overall fat volume. These destroyed fat cells are then released into the bloodstream and processed out of the body via the lymphatic system and liver.
This treatment also heats the dermis and epidermis, naturally stimulating the production of collagen and elastic fibres – tightening the skin.
After multiple treatments, up to 45% of the amount of fat cells in the treated area will be naturally metabolised out of your body.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY
The first visit will be similar to a consultation where we will design your treatment plan and physically draw out the areas to be treated.Â
During the fat reduction treatment, the EXILIS device is guided over the treatment area. You will feel a deep heating sensation similar to a hot stone massage as focused thermal energy is delivered to the deep layers of your skin.
The treatment is pain-free compared to invasive surgical procedures like liposuction. You can lie down, watch Netflix, use your phone, or use this time to wind down and catch up on some much-needed relaxation.

PREPARATION AND AFTERCARE
Hydration is key to success with the fat reduction treatment. It is important to increase water intake the day before, the day of, and the day after treatment. Engaging in light exercise such as walking will help to enhance results.
Post-treatment, there may be some pinkness and warmth on the treated area which will last 15-30 minutes. Aside from that, there are no long-lasting effects and you can resume normal activities immediately.

MAINTENANCE
It is important to have a healthy and balanced lifestyle to maintain the results achieved in the clinic. The longevity of the fat reduction results is also dependent on each client’s genetic predisposition.
While fat cells are eliminated during the treatment and not expected to return, a follow-up booking once every 12-18 months is recommended to keep your body in shape.
